DO YOU CHARGE FOR ENGRAVING?
75% of the items in our catalogues we engrave free
of charge. Examples of these items:
Items where we do charge for engraving include glassware,
pewter ware, silver cups & salvers, medals, shields with silver/gold
fittings & shields with brass fronts. Examples of these items:
Where we do charge for engraving the prices are
very reasonable i.e. 6” salver = £2.50 – unlimited
letters.

DO YOU OFFER DISCOUNTS?
Yes we do.
We can
offer these discounts because of our ability to bulk buy from
our suppliers, savings that we pass directly to our customers.
Certain items are not discountable. As a general
rule those items we can engrave free of charge we can also offer
discounts on.
Discounts are only applied if we have 14 days to
get your order ready, i.e. gap between order being placed &
being collected must be 14 days.
DO YOU ADD VAT ONTO THE CATALOGUE PRICES?
No we do not add VAT onto your bill. We
absorb the VAT rather than add it on to the customer’s bill
This is an important fact, as some other firms will add the VAT
(17.5%) on top of the final total.
CAN WE HAVE OUR CREST / LOGO ON THE AWARD?
Yes you can. Trophy centres can be produced exactly
replicating your logo or we can engrave your logo onto glassware,
silverware, salvers etc. Ideal for club or corporate customers.

WHAT IS YOUR LEAD TIME?
The more time customers can give us the better,
especially between March & July, our busiest period. Generally
for large orders 4/5 weeks is preferable. This gives us time to
order items if need be, assemble trophies, do the engraving and
in the event of items being out of stock with our suppliers, chance
to contact the customer with suggestions of substitute items.
Any substitute items offered will be of similar standard or better.
Engraving details can follow at a later date if need be.
Orders can be turned round quicker, same week if
needed but these orders may incur an extra charge. If we have
to order last minute from our suppliers we may incur a carriage
charge which we would have to pass on to the customer. This ranges
from £5 - £15.
Remember 14 days notice is needed for customers
to receive a discount.
DO YOU DO MAIL ORDER / DELIVERY?
We do not operate a mail order system although in
certain cases we may be able to post items. If enough time is
given when ordered we try to get orders ready 1-2 weeks before
presentation date to give the customer plenty of time to pick
the order up. Larger orders we may be able to personally deliver
free of charge on a date agreed by both the Customer & Dewhursts.
This applies to orders of £500+ with a delivery address
within 25 miles of either shop. Delivery also may be possible
on smaller orders or orders more than 25 miles away. A delivery
charge will apply.
HOW DO I PLACE MY ORDER / MAKE AN ENQUIRY?

BILLING / PAYMENT
Regular customers we are happy to invoice. All invoices
are due to be paid 1 month from collection date. We reserve the
right to cancel any discount on overdue invoices i.e. discount
becomes 0%. New Customers are required to pay a 50% deposit at
the time of order placement and to pay the balance once the order
is confirmed by Dewhursts Trophies or on collection at the latest.
You can pay by cash, cheque or BACS. At present we do not accept
payment by debit / credit card as we are trying to keep our costs
to a minimum and pass the benefit to the customer.
